Trolling maestro JK Rowling just got Piers Morgan to mock himself

PIC: JK Rowling set a trap for Piers Morgan on Twitter and he fell for it hook, line and sinker

HARRY POTTER author JK Rowling craftily reignited her feud with Piers Morgan after sending out a tweet that wasn't quite what it seemed.

A bitter Twitter spat ensued, culminating most recently with Rowling sharing a screen grab of an article singing her praises and achievements, writing yesterday "Just been sent this!" I'd love to thank him!

Rowling laid a cunning trap for Morgan, by innocently tweeting what appeared to be Valentines' message from one of her fans.

There was just one problem: it was Piers Morgan himself who wrote those handsome words about JK Rowling.

The incident Rowling is referring to occurred on an episode of Real Time with Bill Maher at the end of last week where Australian comedian Jim Jefferies rebuked Morgan for outrightly refusing to call President Donald Trump's hardline immigration ban a "Muslim ban".

For the unversed, the two celebrities have been battling each other on social media, since Rowling wrote that Morgan "being told to f**k off on live TV [was] exactly as satisfying", as she had imagined.

Piers later tried to play it off by saying that "he knew what she meant", but the damage had already been done.

Morgan replied: "This is why I've never read a single word of Harry Potter".

Morgan then went on to Tweet a YouGov opinion poll which showed that the "British public vastly prefers JK Rowling (55%) to Piers Morgan (9%)." . The answer was a resounding 55 per cent for Rowling, with only nine per cent of respondents siding with her opponent.
