LG's G6 Has A FullVision Display With An 18:9 Aspect Ratio

LG G6's user interface

The new user interface, dubbed UX 6.0, will allow the device's 5.7-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio to shoot photos and review them simultaneously side by side in a new Square Camera mode.

The FullVision display in the LG G6 provides users with a new viewing experience. The larger 18:9 aspect ratio Full Vision display allows endless combinations, LG says. This will allow you to have two apps running side-by-side without negatively affecting the way they are displayed.

LG says more and more app developers are making their applications for the 18:9 aspect ratio, but the reality is many are still favoring the 16:9 ratio which is the norm among smartphones.

The G6 will also have a user interface to match the cutting-edge display.

But the fact remains that even though the hi-res 5.7-inch display will look and feel richer in addition to enhancing multi-tasking, it remains to be seen whether content designed for more traditional aspect ratios and resolutions is handled as efficiently. Address book, calendar, music player, and call menu will all use the 1:1 Square GUI.

Cigna Files Suit Against Former Merger Partner Anthem
Both acquisitions came together amid an insurance-industry merger frenzy in 2015, but the dynamics in each have been different. Unlike Anthem, Aetna said on Tuesday it is abandoning its efforts to merge and will pay Humana a $1 billion breakup fee.

The new interface of LG G6 can be previewed in this brief video released by the company. For multitasking, users can load calendar on the left while working on documents on the right, LG said.

LG has finally confirmed that its next generation flagship device, the G6, will sport a 5.7-inch QHD display along with new LG UX 6.0 specifically created to maximise the advantages of the new FullVision display.

Some of the UI changes include tweaking the camera app, enabling the user to take and review images immediately. Type a memo on one side while surfing the web on the other.

LG also touts that the G6 will have a Food Mode that'll "deliver high color quality and saturation ideal for, well, food". Now, as the LG G6 approaches with a lack of bezels, the addition of waterproofing, and more, I can't wait to check out this phone.

G6 will be equipped with a new Quad DAC with improved sound.
