Ice Cube's Basketball League just got bigger

Allen Iverson Will Join Ice Cube's 3-On-3 League BIG3: Report

"That's O'Shea [Jackson, Ice Cube's dad name]".

Allen Iverson is among a plethora of NBA luminaries taking part in Ice Cube's new BIG3 basketball league.

"A lot of these guys can still play once they retire - just not the back-to-backs or four games in five nights", he said. The player/coach position is something that's built into each team, which makes sense given all the league's participants are going to be roughly Luke Walton's age. He joins Chauncey Billups, Kenyon Martin, Rashard Lewis, Jermaine O'Neal, Stephen Jackson and Jason Williams as other former National Basketball Association players who will serve the same role as Iverson.

Taliban claims twin bombings in Kabul killing at least 21
United States officials announced last week that about 300 Marines would deploy to Helmand in their first return since 2014. Taleban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the group was behind the Kabul explosions.

The BIG3 professional league is set to launch this summer, and it will consist of eight three-on-three teams of five players touring various cities in the US over the course of ten weeks.

"When I got the call, it was a no-brainer", AI said.

Iverson played with the Nuggets from 2006-2008. The league will span 8 major cities over the coarse of the summer for the first season and is expected to grow for the next season. On top of that, the league will be completely ran by the players without any outsiders, which is how the organizers seem to want it.
