Florida suspect wore body armor in fatal police shooting

Shooting suspect Markeith Loyd

Also arrested Tuesday was Zarghee Mayan, who deputies said never contacted authorities after he met Markeith Loyd, who told him he had killed Dixon.

Markeith Loyd's niece, Lakensha Smith-Loyd, was arrested Wednesday on an accessory charge.

"Mayan did so with the intent that Markeith Demangzlo Loyd avoid or escape detection, arrest, trial or punishment", the arrest affidavit said.

"During another encounter, right after Loyd's ex-girlfriend was killed in mid-December, Mayan said Loyd came into the restaurant with a gun, pointed at Mayan and said, "'Drive me or I will kill you, I just did something real bad, '" the affidavit said.

- A Philadelphia police officer created a attractive portrait of Master Sgt. Debra Clayton who was killed on Monday. Clayton, who was wearing body armor, was shot multiple times, police said, and later died.

Sometime after Dixon's death, Smith-Loyd went to the chicken shop and asked Mayan for money to give to Loyd, according to the affidavits. Mina said Loyd continued to shoot Clayton after she was down.

Mayan said he drove Loyd to several locations, including the home of Loyd's estranged wife, where Loyd told him to knock on the door.

But the aforementioned hurdles presumably pushed it until 2017 alongside Crackdown 3 and Halo Wars 2 . Again, we're still waiting for Microsoft's official word , but things aren't looking good.

But so far none has led to the arrest of Loyd, 41, who is accused of killing veteran Orlando police Master Sgt. Debra Clayton Monday when she confronted him outside a Wal-Mart at John Young Parkway and Princeton Street.

Mina says hundreds of deputies and officers have searched nearly 100 places since Monday, and they've received more than 750 tips. Orange County deputies said in an arrest affidavit that she was contacting people on behalf of her uncle after Dixon was killed and indicated she was in contact with him after the shooting.

"We don't want people going out there and taking things into their own hands", Mina said.

Authorities are offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to Loyd's arrest.

CBS affiliate WKMG reports that Jameis Slaughter, 25, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder on Wednesday.

Clayton's visitation is Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. and her funeral is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday - both are also at First Baptist Church of Orlando. The fund for Lewis' family had raised more than $24,000 of its $30,000 goal. That's despite 550 tips being called into Crimeline, Orlando police said.
