Ben Affleck Confirms He'll Direct The Batman

The Dark Knight is dragging his feet- Credit Warner Bros

A report from last December shared details that "The Batman" was top priority at Warner Bros. We did the "Batman v Superman" press while I was finishing [post production on "Live By Night"].

He's looking to make it four for four with "Live by Night". The problems are cumulative in nature. I mean, I can't tell you - but you have to laugh.

Given time and the creative freedom his past accomplishments should afford, it is quite possible Affleck could become the quintessential on-screen Batman and deliver something truly special in his standalone film.

I did believe in his conscience, and I enjoyed Affleck performance, which isn't nothing.

Considering that Live By Night now boasts a 33% score on Rotten Tomatoes, I can think of a few reasons why "nobody gave a shit" about it. "There's no map to it, you've just got to figure it out on your own". We're working on it. Although Live By Night looks pretty awesome, people are way more interested in his superhero film, The Batman. News, "It's hysterical. Ben and I are like brother and sister, thank God, so there was no awkwardness".

Written and directed by Ben Affleck, based on the novel by Dennis Lehane.

These pre-echoes of the red state/blue state divide are hardly repellent but seem forced. Earlier in the show, Affleck made a kind comment about Swift, saying, "Taylor Swift is great, by the way, she's a great role model".

According to Affleck, Fanning is a "prodigy as an actress".

Chris Messina finally gets to play an Italian and a hard case, as Affleck's friend and henchman; and he opens up brand new casting possibilities for himself. Ben Affleck's "Live By Night" has already entered the Oscar list after the December Release. To that point, Joe's affair with the girlfriend of the leader of the Irish mob in Boston, Albert White (Robert Glenister), brings him to the attention of Maso Pescatore (Remo Girone), head of the Italian mob in the city. Affleck the director also corrals a ton of great performances from his cast, including Chris Messina as Coughlin's right-hand man and an awesome, demented turn from Matthew Maher as a member of the Klan who's causing problems for Coughlin's operations in Florida.
